KEVIN BRACKFIELD (CEng, MIStructE, MIEI, FConsEI)

Director | Chartered Engineer

Kevin Brackfield is a Chartered Structural and Civil Engineer with over three decades of experience working across a wide spectrum of engineering roles in both Ireland and the UK. His career spans senior design, management, and consultancy positions, giving him a deep understanding of the design process, construction delivery, and client-side requirements.

As Director of Brackfield Consulting, Kevin brings a practical and solutions-focused approach to structural design, temporary works, project and contract management, and BCAR compliance. His experience includes everything from high-rise residential and complex commercial projects to specialist industrial and remediation works. He also provides technical input on planning-related matters, particularly where structural or regulatory considerations arise.

Kevin is a Fellow of Engineers Ireland and a Chartered Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers and the ACEI. He is committed to delivering responsive, technically sound, and regulation-compliant engineering solutions tailored to each project’s specific needs.

PATRICIA MULVEY (FCIAT)

Director | Chartered AT

Patricia Mulvey is a Chartered Architectural Technologist and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), with over 20 years of experience across multiple construction sectors.

Patricia specialises in sustainable design for residential developments, including one-off houses, and leads Brackfield Consulting’s work in energy upgrades and retrofitting existing dwellings using sustainable, bio-based materials. This focus is supported by her Postgraduate Diploma in Building Performance (Energy Efficiency in Design) from TU Dublin.

Patricia has also served as an Executive Board Trustee of CIAT and is the Councillor and PR Officer for the CIAT Republic of Ireland Centre. In addition, Patricia has contributed to education within the construction industry as an External Examiner for BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology programmes across Ireland, and as a member of the Careers in Construction Working Group operating under DFHERIS.

SIOBHAN CORCORAN (BEng MSc MIEI)

Siobhan Corcoran, a member of Engineers Ireland is a Consultant Engineer at Brackfield Consulting Ltd. since 2016. With over 15 years experience across transport planning and infrastructure design Siobhan holds a BEng (Ord) in Civil/Structural Engineering from DIT Bolton Street (now TU Dublin) and a Master’s in Transport Planning and Engineering from Napier University, Edinburgh.

Siobhan began her career in Dublin before relocating to Edinburgh, where she worked on major infrastructure projects, including security planning for Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports and the Olympic Route Network for London 2012. She also gained extensive experience in preparing Traffic Impact Assessments for diverse developments.

Since joining Brackfield Consulting Siobhan has specialised in pyrite-related defects in residential buildings, conducting detailed inspections and reports to support successful remediation applications through the Pyrite Resolution Board and Premier Guarantee schemes.

LIZ COFFEY

Liz Coffey began her career as a PA in a stockbroking company.

Since joining Brackfield Consulting in 2014, she has quickly established herself as an essential member of the support team, known for her exceptional organisational skills and proactive approach.

Over the years, Liz has expanded her responsibilities to include fee proposals, invoicing, and office management, becoming a trusted and highly valued part of the Brackfield team.
